| Julia Lawton has been involved with acting and modeling for the past nine years, and was quickly became interested in film and television. After graduating from Simon Fraser University in 2009 with a BA in History, she traveled to Beijing, China and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where she worked and lived as a model throughout 2010. Overseas she worked on an international commercial for "Yingali Solar" which aired during the World Cup in Europe. Julia's resume includes many independent productions such as the yet released feature film The Battle of Burgledorf, and one of Pitchfork's top 40 music videos of 2010, the Caribou music video "Odessa". She keeps up with acting by staying involved with several internet sketch groups, including a role in the viral video, "Pokémon Apokélypse: Live Action Trailer". Arriving back in her native Vancouver December 2010, she is excited to once again be a part of Vancouver's independent acting scene.on |
